Turbo Pendant - GUBI

Louis Weisdorf's Turbo Pendant was designed in 1965, but first put into production in 1967 and has achieved great success over the years. It illustrates design at its best: it is simple in form, yet complex in structure and combines a sense of airiness and strength in a beautiful sculptural whole. The inspiration for the lamp is the lightness of the Japanese rice paper transformed into a more durable and sturdy version. The outer curve of the lamp is made of twelve similar spiral lamellae, that form a flower-like globe that shields the light. The Turbo Pendant is a perfect example of Weisdorf's passion for multiple repeating elements that he used for most of his works.

Designer Bio: Louis Weisdorf (1932– 2021) was a well-known Danish architect and industrial designer. After becoming one of the youngest designers to graduate from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen in 1954, he worked across graphic, interior, architectural, and industrial design. Weisdorf described himself as a specialist in versatility, which sums up the prodigious and notable career of this multi-faceted designer.

All workmanship is guaranteed for two years from the date of purchase. Fabrics are covered by this warranty for 1 year after date of purchase.

Warranty does not cover damage caused by negligence, willful damage, misuse or failure to care properly for goods. Freight charges and service calls made after goods have been signed for in good order may incur additional charges. A copy of the original invoice and images are required for warranty requests. Warranty for brands carried by Bodhi Living will be passed on as per the manufacturer’s Warranty / guarantee.   

Delivery and Returns

We offer shipping nationwide through our wide range of delivery partners. Shipping rates are calculated based on the size and weight of the order. Premium white glove delivery, including rubbish removal and install can also be discussed upon purchase.

International shipping is quoted in Australian dollars and is not inclusive of country-specific import duty.
